Roof Trusses: MADE IN NORFOLK
GET IN TOUCHWe are one of Norfolk’s leading independent suppliers of timber roof trusses. We can supply trusses for your project in just 5 days from survey, making us the clear choice.
Timber roof trusses
Roof trusses are the structural framework of timbers designed to provide support for roof covering. They’re now the most common form of framing in the UK. And it’s easy to see why:
- They’re the most cost-effective way to build a roof
- They’re a flexible, practical solution for all kinds of roof designs
- Trusses can use up to 40% less timber than traditional options
- Trusses arrive pre-assembled and are quick to install, saving time and labour costs on site
- Our roof trusses are all made to measure with a high degree of accuracy.
We can supply roof trusses for a wide range of projects, from smaller extensions to more extensive new builds. We’re happy to work with self-builders right through to much larger developers.

Types of roof truss
There are many different types of roof truss – and, at ETE, we’re experts in designing and manufacturing them all. Here are some common options:
- Standard fink truss
- Attic truss (cantilevered, overhang or eaves)
- Scissor truss
- Hip truss
- Mono truss
- Raised tie truss
- Scissor truss
Roof trusses are also described as either ‘cold’, where the insulation is placed in the ceiling below the attic or ‘warm’, where the insulation is placed in the roof itself.
At ETE, we can help design, manufacture and install roof trusses no matter the type you need for your project. We can even work with you to design custom roof trusses to perfectly fit your bespoke build.

Your Site Visit
One of the key things that sets us apart from other timber engineering firms is that we’ll always come and measure up. Prior to manufacture, Richard, our owner, will pop to your site to measure up. You can be sure of an accurate finish thanks to his 20+ years of experience.
Once you’ve accepted our quotation and we’ve received your order, we will book you a delivery slot.
Our Roof Truss Design
Thanks to our expertise, we’re happy to offer advice on your project at the design stage. Involving us early can mean a reduction in build cost. For example, reducing your roof pitch by one degree could make the difference between us being able to deliver your trusses in one piece or not. Or reducing the size of an attic room by a few hundred mm could remove the need for additional steel beams.
No matter how complex your project, we’ll design an accurate and well-engineered solution. We’re a licenced Gang-Nail roof truss manufacturer. As such, our designs are created using the latest computer software from Gang-Nail. The result is a set of detailed 2D drawings that are clear and easy to follow.
