  • They’re the most cost-effective way to build a roof
  • They’re a flexible, practical solution for all kinds of roof designs
  • Trusses can use up to 40% less timber than traditional options
  • Trusses arrive pre-assembled and are quick to install, saving time and labour costs on site
  • Our roof trusses are all made to measure with a high degree of accuracy.

We can supply trusses for a wide range of projects, from smaller extensions to more extensive new builds. We’re happy to work with self-builders right through to much larger developers.

Our Roof Truss Manufacturing Process

Site visit & quote

Your Site Visit

One of the key things that sets us apart from other timber engineering firms is that we’ll always come and measure up. Prior to manufacture, Richard, our owner, will pop to your site to measure up. You can be sure of an accurate finish thanks to his 20+ years of experience.

Once you’ve accepted our quotation and we’ve received your order, we will book you a delivery slot.

Our Roof Truss Design

Thanks to our expertise, we’re happy to offer advice on your project at the design stage. Involving us early can mean a reduction in build cost. For example, reducing your roof pitch by one degree could make the difference between us being able to deliver your trusses in one piece or not. Or reducing the size of an attic room and attic truss installation by a few hundred mm could remove the need for additional steel beams.

No matter how complex your project, we’ll design an accurate and well-engineered solution. We’re a licenced Gang-Nail roof truss manufacturer. As such, our designs are created using the latest computer software from Gang-Nail. The result is a set of detailed 2D drawings that are clear and easy to follow.

Made to Measure Roof Trusses

Our workshop in Watton has the very latest manufacturing equipment. Our team follows the designs to the mm. All orders are double checked before they leave the premises. Your package can include all structural timbers, bracing, truss clips, hangers, gable straps and wall plate straps necessary for installation.

Your complete order will be delivered on one of our branded lorries. Based in Watton, Norfolk, we’re happy to deliver across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Want to see what we’ve been up to? Checkout our projects in Downham Market, Reepham, and Forncett St. Peter.

Types of Roof Truss

Standard Fink Roof Truss

A fink truss is very common type of roof truss that uses a ‘W’ shape between the chords and is an efficient roof truss shape for many different projects.

Attic Trusses

Roof trusses are described as ‘cold’, where the insulation is placed below the attic, or ‘warm’, where the insulation is placed in the roof itself. Attic trusses add additional floor space and create an insulated layer.

Scissor Roof Truss

A scissor truss, sometimes known as a vaulted truss, can be used to create more interesting ceiling shapes as they allow the height of a room to be increased using smaller timbers.

Hip Roof Truss

A hip truss can be used to create a flat roof section between roof slopes which helps to reduce the height of a building where that may be a consideration.

Mono Roof Truss

A mono truss is sloped in one direction and uses a single rafter. A mono truss can also be sued to form lean-to roofs and added as an addition to an existing building.

Raised Tie Roof Truss

A raised tie truss in used to give extra headroom and create a higher ceiling, without increasing the overall height of the building.
